Bio

​Brian Hance is the Marketing & Sales Education Manager for Life Care Services, supporting for-profit and non-for-profit Life Plan communities. In this role, Brian leads sales training, talent development, and ongoing education of their nationwide sales force and operations management leaders. In addition, he manages the Marketing & Sales Academy Online, leads the execution of the Marketing & Sales Education and Training Strategic Plan, and serves as editor of educational publications.   

Brian brings to this role over 15 years of senior living marketing & sales experience and expertise in instructional design, content development, adult learning principles, leading training & education sessions, and group facilitation.

Previously he served as a Regional Director of Marketing and Sales for Life Care Services, providing support and expertise to their communities in all aspects of marketing, sales, leadership, and training. He joined the Life Care Services team in July 2013.

Brian began working with seniors when he joined the national office of the Alzheimer’s Association in Chicago, Illinois in 1993. In that role, he provided leadership, training, public relations and support for professionals and families dealing with dementia.

In 2003, he segued into senior living, working with Erickson Living as a Sales & Marketing Director, and eventually in a nationwide role as Director of Sales Education & Talent Development, supporting their CCRC retirement communities across the country.  He also worked as a Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Brookdale Senior Living, supporting their rental communities across Chicagoland.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications/Public Relations from the University of Illinois. He has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Professional Society of Sales & Marketing Training and remains a current member. Brian is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and the Chicagoland Chapter of ATD.  He has completed Langevin Learning Services courses in instructional design, virtual training; and instructor, facilitator, & speaker development. Brian has also completed Dale Carnegie courses in High Impact Presentation; Leading Sales Teams; and Establishing Credibility. He completed a public speaking class from Tero International, entitled IMPACT: How to Speak Your Way to Success. Brian has taught sales and marketing at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) School of Aging Executive Leadership Program.

He resides in Oak Park, Illinois.
